I see a future in which engineering innovation drives sustainable change. I see a future in which air travel reaches speeds of Mach 10 with a zero-carbon footprint. I see hypersonics and automation as the next big revolution in aerospace. As an Aerospace Engineering student in the Engineering Honors Program at The University of Texas at Austin, I intend to help make that future possible, both within and outside the industry. From laboratory research to hands-on engineering competitions, I am building the foundations to contribute to the next generation of aerospace innovation. At the UT Gas Dynamics Laboratory, I supported the installation and initial testing of a cold-flow side load test stand for high area-ratio rocket nozzles, integrating sensors, developing LabVIEW and MATLAB data pipelines, and applying spectral and modal analysis to characterize startup and shutdown side loads. Through this work, I connected experimental results to analytical models of nozzle performance, bridging theory with practice. In parallel, I tutor over 100 students as part of UT’s EM/COE Peer Tutoring program, developing individualized lesson plans and applying Bloom’s taxonomy to strengthen conceptual understanding in engineering mechanics and computational methods. I also pursue applied design in engineering organizations. With Longhorn Racing Electric, I led structural and aerodynamic improvements to the aero package, cutting weight by 75% while improving efficiency by 25% through SOLIDWORKS design, composite layups, and CFD validation. With Texas Flight, I designed fuselages and propulsion systems, integrating lightweight composites and reliable electrical systems while mentoring younger members. These projects teach me how to balance innovation with manufacturability, constraints, and reliability. My early foundation came from NASA, where I researched the Urban Heat Island Effect using satellite data and Python ML tools, publishing results with the American Geophysical Union. Independently, I have also studied high-hypersonic propulsion cycles, modeling turbine-based ramjet–scramjet systems through CFD and structural analysis. Looking forward, I aim to take designs from simulation to test stand, and from research to flight hardware. Aerospace is entering an era where sustainability, advanced propulsion, and high-speed flight intersect—and I want to be at the forefront of that change.
