About Shri Goyal

Dr. Shri Goyal is serving as the Executive in Residence at USF CONNECT mentoring startup companies in developing their businesses. Shri also serves on the BayCare’s Board Clinical Excellence Committee. He is an active member in the Entrepreneurship community of Tampa Bay supporting TIE-Tampa and UT Entrepreneurship Center. Shri was the Founding Dean of the College of Technology & Management where he developed and executed Business Management, Information Technology, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship programs. Previously as a Director at Verizon (originally GTE) Laboratories in Boston, he worked on Artificial Intelligent and on the development of Integrated Intelligent Systems for Telecommunications Operations. Dr. Goyal served for eight years on the Board of Governors of Communication Society as the Director of Conferences and Membership Programs. In addition, he helped initiate and organize multiple conferences around the world including the two flagship International Conferences ICC and Globecom. Shri has vast experience in Management and expertise in Education, Computers and Communications Technology, Entrepreneurship, and successful technology transfer. His current interests span management and entrepreneurial support for Educational Systems and technology enterprises. Dr. Goyal received PhD in Electrical Engineering from N.C. State University. He holds two Patents and is a Fellow of He is a recipient of GTE’s Warner Award and Communications Society Meritorious Service Award Shri is a lifelong volunteer with quest for learning and purpose of 'giving back'.
