I have been practising as a Chartered Accountant in Mumbai, India for the last 40 years. My desire to contribute to the profession led me to become involved with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). I started as a Convener of the Mulund (Mumbai) Study Circle. I served as the Chairman of the Western India Regional Council (WIRC) in 2011-12. I am currently an elected member of the Central Council of the ICAI In the past 25 years, I have been a part of many conferences, seminars, and group meetings, both nationally and internationally, on topics relating to Accounting Standards, Auditing Standards, Company Law, Bank Audits, Internal Financial Controls, FEMA, frauds, networking and mergers, peer review, and career counselling.
