About Shriyans Jain

I am a General and Head & Neck surgeon,currently working in the Department of Head and Neck surgery within the Division of General Surgery, CMC Vellore. I have independently performed and assisted post graduate residents in most general surgical procedures including hernia repairs, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, laparotomies for bowel resection, stomas, bypass procedures. I have also performed laparoscopic procedures such as cholecystectomy, appendectomy, IPOM, TEP, TAPP. I have a keen interest in oncoplasty and have recently completed a 2 year training as a post doctoral fellow in head and neck surgery which has enabled me to perform complex resections with neck dissections and reconstructive procedures for oral cancers. Having understood and gained the basic skills in reconstructive procedures, I now look forward to enhancing my skill set in oncoplasty for other sites such as abdominal wall and extremities.
