About Shrutarya Sharma

A Public Policy and Development Sector Professional with over 3 years of experience. He has honed his skills in research, project management, and field-level engagement. His expertise lies in developing CSR Strategy and Policy Interventions, and ensuring compliance with CSR-related regulations and implementation of CSR Projects. At TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited, a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, he successfully manages CSR budgets, implements impactful programs in the domains of Livelihoods, Skill Development, Health and Employee Volunteering. He was also assigned to additional responsibilities in corporate communications, handling social media platforms, content creation, and press releases. During his tenure as an Executive Trainee at Tata Power, he oversees the operations of Saheli World, an e-commerce platform for marketing SHG and FPO products. He played a key role in Tata Power's response to the Covid-19 pandemic, coordinating aid distribution and tele-helpline relief efforts. Additionally, he undertook due diligence activities for NGOs and non-profits partnering with Tata Power and driving Employee Volunteering from Tata Power Corporate. Shrutarya holds an M.A. in Social Work with a specialization in Community Organization and Development Practice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and a B.A. in Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad. Through his research projects, he has gained insights into solidarity economy and entrepreneurial opportunities in post-reform India. He is a certified TATA Affirmative Action Programme Assessor and Internal Auditor for ISO standards namely ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. He has been recognized for his achievements, including securing the 1st Runners Up position in InnoRise 2020,(a competitive platform within Tata Power Group for trainees to present innovations and ideas) and earning a fully funded student exchange program at the School of Social Service Administration, University of Chicago.
