About Shruti Laud

From starting out as an intern decoding board files and scribbling minutes, to now leading the compliance function of a top listed company—my journey has been as fulfilling as it has been challenging.Today, I serve as the Company Secretary & Compliance Officer at Aptech Limited, a listed EduTech leader. Handling an immensely experienced and dynamic Board of Directors, across Audit, Risk, Nomination, CSR, and Strategy Committees, has not just sharpened my technical skills—but also instilled a deep respect for precision, diplomacy, and balance in governance.Over the last 10 years, I’ve grown into a governance strategist—ensuring airtight compliance with the Companies Act, SEBI LODR, and evolving ESG expectations. Whether it's drafting resolutions that work like clockwork, managing investor expectations, or translating legalese into business decisions, I love the multi-dimensional nature of this role.I believe that a good Company Secretary isn't just a custodian of records—but a quiet force behind sound decisions and sustainable business practices.Let’s just say—I’ve gone from “taking minutes” to making them count.
