About Shubh Kumar-Range

Ms. Shubh K. Kumar-Range, Ph.D. Specialist in strategic and policy evaluations Founder member for South Asia Community of Evaluators (CoE-SA) and Evaluation Community of India (ECOI) Shubh is specialized in multisectoral economic analysis for development outcomes for food and nutrition security, equitable income and employment growth, women's empowerment and environmental conservation. She has held senior research and management positions in many international organizations including, International Food Policy Research Institute, UNDP, and WWF-International. For the past 12 years, she has focused on the theory and practice of Development Evaluation. She has written many books and journal articles, and co-edited a book on “Making Evaluation Matter: Writings from South Asia. She has successfully managed and led multi-country evaluations for UNESCAP, UNICEF, FAO/WFP, USAID and UNCTAD. Has also led international teams for external evaluations, including strategic and policy focused, national and international program evaluations; generating summative assessments, as well as use-oriented learning for improving results (UN Women, ILO, FAO, IFAD, UNICEF, UNCTAD, OXFAM, USAID). She is currently managing an evaluation of a UNESCAP regional project on Sustainable Urban Resource Management. She has worked in many countries of Asia (India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, China, Indonesia, Cambodia), Africa (Ethiopia, Zambia, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda) and Latin America (El Salvador).
