About Shwetha Sridharan

I have almost 20 years of experience working for corporate and non-profit organizations in the United States and India. I worked on program design and development, strategic partnerships, operations and planning, and project management. Now I focus on youth development, participatory research, and girl mentoring. At Alliance for Girls, I am helping to center youth voices through feminist decolonized research for girls of color and gender-expansive youth. I'm also building communities of practice by bridging our important research to community-based organizations. I am passionate about mentoring, and started a platform for South Asian teen girls, South Asian Girls Project.I envision a world where girls feel heard, supported, and honored as they go through life's toughest phases. As a mother and aunt, I'm driven to do better for our girls especially by listening, learning and empowering them to create change for themselves and their communities.
