About Shyavan Sridhar

I am currently pursuing a concurrent bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics and Biology at McMaster University. I strive to build my professional network and gain experience as I pursue my career goals in the research of science and engineering. I enjoy tinkering with various devices around the house, and am usually the person to try and figure out how something works and (if it's broken) get it fixed! My interests include coding in Python, Java, and C++. I have participated in the Junior Achievement Company Program to start a business of my own along with a few of my peers and have made similar businesses selling products and services around my local area. I've always enjoyed taking initiative to help around my community as well as help my peers and have started many clubs at my schools. I am also interested in Quantum Mechanics and Biology and enjoy tinkering with electronics. To that end, I am looking to specialize in nanotechnlology and quantum computing and am particularly interested in ecology and the origin of life on the biology side of things. I have a passion for anything STEM-related and enjoy playing musical instruments (of which I can play four). With my creativity, determination, and thirst for knowledge, I hope to delve deeper into engineering and science, and eventually turn my acquired knowledge into something that can change the world.
