About Shyh Saenz

A proud Native American Chicana from the Bay Area, I graduated from Gonzaga University in May 2023 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and a Minor in Promotions while competing as a Division 1 student-athlete on the Women’s Soccer Team. As the Director of the Cesar Chavez Centennial Campaign, I am honored to lead a nationwide initiative dedicated to celebrating and preserving the legacy of Cesar Chavez. March 31, 2027, will mark his 100th birthday—a historic moment to reintroduce his impact and values to the nation. This campaign seeks to reach 100 million people and directly touch 10 million lives through programs such as our Day of Service, the Yes We Can Food Drive, K–12 curriculum, leadership institutes, and historical preservation efforts. By meeting the moment, we aim to inspire the next generation, demonstrating how ordinary people can achieve extraordinary things. My professional journey reflects a commitment to creating meaningful impact. I’ve led marketing campaigns, advanced Latino outreach in political campaigns, and conducted research for corporate strategy and top consultancies. A summer on Capitol Hill with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute deepened my public service dedication, interning with then-Rep.(now Senator!) Ruben Gallego. Currently, at Operativo.us as their Chief of Staff, I focus on campaign strategy, project execution, and public engagement. Let's connect!
