Structural engineer with over nine years experience in design and documentation of residential, commercial and industrial structures. Design lead and team member in numerous design projects from the concept to detailed design phases, experienced in site supervision and project management. Responsible for the design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber and aluminium structures for many major projects. With a focus on brownfields sites including mining, heavy industry, bulk materials handling, ports, infrastructure and commercial sectors. Develops cost-effective solutions to a wide range of complex problems utilising understanding of non-linear, dynamic, and seismic analyses. Notable Projects: • Design Lead for a grain handling terminal including (bucket elevator tower, gantry conveyor systems, storage silos, garner bins, rail loading facility and overland conveyors). • Design Lead Concrete Batching Plant (large scale roof structure, support frames for amenities buildings and foundations). • Structural Design Lead for large hard rock quarry (large scale foundation design, pre-coat plant, truck loading facility, radial conveyors, and design verification). • Forensic investigation into failed overhead conveyor gantry system. • Design Lead building design for quarternary process facility at new quarry facility (building, bin supports, machinery supports and foundations). • Design Engineer ship loading facility (loader/un-loader upgrades, bulk materials conveyors, transfer stations, and foundations). Specialities: • Structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber and aluminium structures. • Computational analysis – SPACE GASS, Strand7, Limcon, RAPT, Idea StatiCa and Tedds. • Forensic investigation, dilapidation surveys, condition assessments and reporting. • Site inspections and supervision. • Project management and liaison with clients/contractors/consultants. • Design work coordination and supervision of other engineers and draftsmen. • Design lead and management of design teams.
