About Siaka Bakayoko

I have 17 years of progressive responsible experience at national and international levels, working in emergency response operations with Civilian, police, and Military in Health Logistics Operations, Transportation management, budget, Supply Chain management, inventory control, procurement, property management, and management of support services combined with a solid educational background in the field of Logistics Supply Chain and procurement management. I have also experience working in donor relations in the context of emergency work. I provided Logistics support during the Ebola and COVID crisis in Mali and currently working in WHO as the head of Operations Support and Logistics in the scale-up/ Level 3 in DR Congo. I am a passionate and committed professional, capable of working in an intense, high-tempo operational environment under hardship conditions as I have worked in The United Nations Mission in Cote d'Ivoire(UNOCI), the United Nations Office in Mali (UNOM), and the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), WHO DR Congo where I am currently employed. I have been the budget coordinator for the administration of over 123 million Dollars under the Life Support Section in emergency response operations, Managed warehouse with over Line items and ensured that warehouses had adequate stock, of medical supplies, composite ration packs, water, and General Supplies to accommodate the mission's logistics operational requirements. I have a Master’s in Business administration and an advanced University degree in Logistics combined with other certificates in the field of health Logistics and supply chain Management; I'm Excellent at using dashboarding tools, and consolidation of data using ERP systems. Competent in WHO/GSM, MS Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Outlook, Business Objects, UMOJA, and IPSAS. I'm fluent in English and French; I have actively worked in Physical Inventory reconciliation and Optimization projects (PIRO) and therefore contributed to the achievement of 91% of the review of inventory value(in dollar terms) translating to 97% of all line items in MINUSMA inventory. I have also experience in Start-up missions (ONUCI; UNOM and MINUSMA) in emergency response operations and WHO incident management; I firmly believe that, if given an opportunity I can be a value-added to the Organization.
