About Sian Besley

I joined the Office of Health Economics in September 2021 following the completion of my Masters in Health Economics at the University of York. My dissertation was undertaken with supervision from the Centre for Health Economics (York) and focused on exploring the relationship between distance and A&E department demand. Prior to my Masters, I obtained a BSc in Economics from Newcastle University. As part of my undergraduate studies, I engaged in a 13-month placement as a Research Assistant at the Bank of England. I am a hard worker who is always striving to do the best at whatever I am trying to achieve. I have outstanding organisation skills and excellent communication skills. I can work well in a team as well as individually. I am capable and willing to learn new skills in order to improve my performance.
