I have been practising as a counsellor/psychotherapist since 1991 in a variety of settings which include organisational, NHS and international private practice. My private work is currently carried out on line offering one to one counselling and clinical supervision. Alongside my private practice I work as Counselling Service Manager for The Counselling Partnership, a charity based in Walton on Thames. I worked for a number of years at Roedean, an independent girls boarding school where I lead a counselling service for staff and students. The children and young people were between the ages of 11 - 18 years of age. For a number of years I worked within the health service in adult services, leading a term which covered all aspects of renal illness and transplantation. I also worked in an HIV team providing specialist therapeutic support in all aspects of HIV medicine. I have also worked overseas providing counselling/psychotherapy to young people and adults in a private clinic. For over ten years I was part of the British Airways counselling team which offered 24 hour therapeutic support to the cabin crew community. I am a MBACP accredited counsellor/psychotherapist with a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and hold a MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a trained and experienced clinical supervisor. I have significant further trainings in CBT and Creative Play Therapy and a background in psychology. Specialities include: Chronic illness, work/life balance issues, stress management, working with individuals who do not have English as a first language and young adults.
