About Sid Gerami

I joined Kiewit in the Montreal office in July 2018 as a Bridge Design Engineer. I had an opportunity to collaborate with a group of ingenious and innovative design engineers on unique and state of the art projects all over Canada and the US. Throughout my career with Kiewit, I have been seeking an opportunity to have a first hand in construction in the field and jump to a project management role. I have found my interests and skills more fittable in this path of work. Once the opportunity knocked on the door to join the Ottawa LRT project as an assistant to Design/Construction managers, I didn't let it get away from the door and pulled it inside! I learned from Jackson Brown that "Nothing is more expensive than a missed opportunity." The Ottawa LRT is a $5 billion project, and I'm in charge of Record Drawings preparation for the project to submit to Ottawa's city when the project is terminated. My role included overseeing the budget and required staff-hours to get this task done on top of all the other technical responsibilities. Last but not least, while you are focusing on shining in your career, NEVER forget the GYM! I try to do it a minimum of 3 days a week myself.
