About Sid Narang

Sid Narang is a senior business executive in real estate, strategy, asset management, investment and brand development, with a tenure that spans over 24 years. A purpose driven leader, he has led productive teams to increase enterprise value (representing over $9 billion in deals and nearly hotel rooms and branded residences). Sid currently runs Crescent Capital Ventures where he works on a variety of assignments ranging from sourcing M&A deals for hospitality and F&B related opportunities, navigating ROI opportunities and asset managing real estate portfolios for select high net worth clients. Previously, Sid was the global Chief Development Officer for SBE. As CDO, he played a strategic role to frame and drive SBE’s global investment and development pipeline, franchise, real estate investment, feasibility, brand ROI and asset management. He led a team that sourced and closed deals globally, entering markets such as Dubai, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Toronto, and Miami (over $300 million in fee value and over $700 million real estate transactions). Sid assisted in a sale of the company to Accor Hotels in 2019. Before SBE, Sid was Vice President at Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He guided highly productive teams of deal executives through complex deal structuring. Besides being a key architect of growth for Starwood’s corporate managed brands in North America and South Pacific, he also spearheaded corporate acquisitions on potential M&A targets such as Gaylord and Morgans Hotel Group. Prior, Sid led development for Starwood’s category-killer lifestyle boutique brand: W hotels. Under his leadership, W became one of the world’s fastest growing luxury lifestyle hotel brands and enhanced Starwood’s enterprise value and presence in the lifestyle segment. Sid curated and negotiated preferred restaurant, bar, spa, and residential property management partnerships to drive investor preference to the brand. Sid started his tenure at Starwood leading its portfolio management function where he oversaw asset management and portfolio strategies on over 100 hotels. During this time, Sid transacted on nearly $1 billion in hospitality assets during this time. He was the recipient of Starwood's deal of the year awards for 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Marriott International acquired Starwood in 2016. Sid has worked in North America, Asia and Europe. An effective spokesperson, he has been a frequent speaker at the United Nations, Cornell Hotel School, and other Industry events. He speaks multiple languages and is a fond student of history and cricket.
