About Sidjon Sasso

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Brock University. Currently, I am engaged in a summer research project at the University of Calgary, where I am establishing a reliable lentivirus protocol tailored for the LentiX cell line. My core competencies include plasmid cloning, transfection, transduction, vector design, and optogenetics. In my previous work experiences, I have demonstrated my ability to design and execute protocols, acquire and analyze data, and collaborate with diverse teams. For example, I led an industry project to develop chemically competent E. coli for GeneBio Systems, a biotechnology company. I also won the first place in the Global Scaling Challenge, where I presented a strategy to solve a real-world scaling problem faced by an entrepreneurial small firm. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to address scientific and societal challenges, and I am eager to learn from and contribute to the innovative and collaborative culture of your organization.
