My current work is focused in sequence stratigraphy and chemostratigraphy of the Upper Cretaceous Austin, Eagle Ford, and Woodbine Groups along the southeast margin of the East Texas Basin and the adjacent/coeval southeast Texas Submarine Plateau. Thesis purpose is to clarify previous literature that relies solely on changes in lithological composition to differentiate between the Eagle Ford and Woodbine Groups. My work instead integrates XRF data with well log correlations to define and differentiate the two groups.
