Hello, my name is Sidra Anjum. I had done my B.Sc.(Honors) in Biochemistry from the University of Delhi. I got AIR 1 in Jamia entrance for Master's. And completed my M.Sc. in Biochemistry from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA. In M.Sc. I have done my dissertation from Aiims Hospital, under the topic of Cloning of SARS covid-19 Spike protein.(that's why I have research experience as well). Being a Science student, always gives me benefits in all terms. As I'm very descriptive, specific, accurate (Science experiments helped me), Adaptive, and Flexible for any kind of work. About my Projects: 1) Estimation of Protein Content in Different Brands of Milk • In the Project we used 4 Brands- Amul, Mother Dairy, Ananda, and Nova. • We quantify the Casein and the whey protein. • To estimate the Whey protein, we used Biuret for the Standard curve. • And Quantify the Result in which Mother dairy has high Protein Content. 2) Identification and estimation of Biomolecules • It is a two days workshop, in which I had done this study for 12th-class students. • This workshop is based on the concept of you learn.I learn. • In this workshop we just separate the casein and whey protein simply only for the students to understand the basic concept. 3) Comparative study on phytochemical analysis and antioxidant activity of Mung Bean and Black Gram of 0-6 days old sprouts • It’s a nutritional diet-based study, to get to know about the best time to eat the sprouts of the Mung bean and Black gram, to get the maximum nutrition from that. • This study also accounts for the antioxidant activity of these samples. • I presented the poster about this study at the International Conference'20, held in Shivaji College of Delhi University. 4) Molecular Cloning of SARS Covid-19 Complete Spike protein and C-terminal Truncated Spike protein. • It was a molecular biology-based experiment. In this, I cloned both the Spike protein. • Techniques I used in this were Competent cell Preparation, Transformation, Plasmid Isolation, Plasmid Purification, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, PCR, Ligation Reaction, CIP Treatment, etc. • It was a one-year project, under Dr. Riyaz Ahmed Mir (Associate Professor) at AIIMS, New Delhi.
