About Sidra Khan

Sidra is an accomplished researcher with experience in testing novel pharmacological agents to limit the invasion of endometrial cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. She also holds an honours degree from University of Adelaide (2017-2019), with expertise in cancer treatment toxicities research. She has medical background, graduating as a medical doctor in 2009 followed by two years’ experience of working in general medicine and gynae & obstetrics as medical officer. Currently she is in third year of PhD. Sidra has a strong Australian research profile in cellular / molecular biology, supported with hands on drug discovery experience in the oncology therapeutic area. She is experienced in Australian drug development process, analysing, assessing testing data and trial monitoring while ensuring integrity of study data and following Lab SOPs. Throughout her career, Sidra has been involved in project management and maintenance of collaborations from Adelaide. She has presented to large cohorts from both scientific and non-scientific backgrounds at local, national, and international level. She is experienced in analysing large cohorts of data and delivering concise reports. Sidra has got excellent organisational and team management skills. This year, Sidra had been part of organising Florey undergraduate scientific conference 2022. She also assessed undergraduate students for poster presentation. In addition, she has demonstrated experience in the conduct of tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations and workshops. She has contributed to developing innovative teaching methods and student engagement, effectively designed and delivered practical and theoretical learning environments to large multi-cohort graduate and undergraduate classes.
