It wasn’t always easy, but it was possible. We didn’t have much, but we had each other. As a child, I was never really much of the ‘Dreamer-type.’ All I wanted to do was play basketball, eat, and sleep. But my streak, of a happy-go-lucky kind of life, came to an abrupt end when I was fourteen years old, and things would never be the same. ‘One day, as I was accompanying my mom on her usual grocery trip, a chore as a young boy I dreaded, I came across a quote that will forever change my outlook and attitude on life.
