Background
About Sierra Corbin
Throughout my career, I have worked with patients in acute, subacute, progressive care, and outpatient settings. In 2017, I opened and operated a medical private practice, specializing in adult acquired disorders. I provide swallowing, cognitive, speech, and language therapy, and am a primary voice and upper airway therapist for Lane county. My current certifications/trainings are PhoRTE, SPEAK OUT, MDTP, and manual therapy for voice and swallowing. I use a comprehensive style in therapy, utilizing evidence-based practice and multimodal communication, including AAC. As a private practice owner, lead SLP, and clinical supervisor, I have gained extensive experience in mentorship, supervision practices, leadership, coding/billing/documentation compliance and education, and the development of workflows, comprehensive evaluation templates, and efficiency protocols. In my University of Oregon's Communication Disorders and Sciences faculty position, I have worked in the AAC clinic and the adult acquired disorders clinic. I currently run the Parkinson's program and a standardized client simulation lab to improve student career readiness in dysphagia.
