About Sietske M.

I worked for years internationally in the hospitality and events business as a marketing and communication specialist in the Middle East; was the director of the Netherlands Institute in Amman, Jordan and left my career in the summer of 2012 when I decided to move from the Middle East to Spain and change my life completely. Away from the rat race and away from the ever-distracting and consuming city.This change, which demanded to leave all securities behind, was a beautiful life lesson. Many gems were discovered. And while some lessons were harsh they allowed for incredible personal growth. A path that I still follow today, both professionally as well as in the Academic Art of Riding training.I soon realised that I am an entrepreneur at heart and part of me needed to be part of an international team to allow for the connections and the recognition that give me meaning and joy. Being in contact with people is what makes me tick. I launched a women’s only travel company and in 2016 I opened a boutique Bed & Breakfast in the less travelled part of Spain: Galicia.The plandemic threw a spanner in the works and the doors of my hotel were closed. This meant I had to quickly turn things around and I started working for a Dutch start-up/scale-up and discovered the joys of remote work. I have not looked back and continue to enjoy working 'online' in business development.I have strong organisational skills; have a strategic mind and am a strong team player; creative and passionate about: thinking, switching and initiating 'out of the box'. I am a self-starter:'making things happen' is my drive and what makes me happy. I grow my own food, am passionate about holistic horse keeping and training, am a forever student of life and the Academic Art of Riding and find my solace in nature.
