About Silas Peterson

I joined Financial Partners in January 2022 and now hold the positions of Financial Advisor, Chief Compliance Officer, and Co-Owner. With a Series 65 Securities License and a New Mexico Independent Insurance Agent license, I advise clients on investments and risk management, retirement planning, Social Security and Medicare, life insurance, annuities, wealth management, charitable giving, college planning, retirement income, tax planning, and other personal finance and retirement topics. Originally from Portland, Oregon, I've been fortunate to call Santa Fe home since 2001. I studied French at Portland State University and earned a Master of Arts in Eastern Classics from St. John's College in 2002. The pleasure I continue to derive from study and learning pairs well with the ever-changing field of Comprehensive Financial Planning. From 2004 to 2021, I managed The Hire Firm, a recruiting and staffing agency based in New Mexico, and I continue to be involved as a Co-Owner. Outside of work, I've been entrusted with leadership roles, including Chairperson of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce from 2018 to 2019, President of the Northern New Mexico Human Resources Association in 2013-14, and President of the Rotary Club of Santa Fe Centro in 2014. Beyond my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my sweetheart Abby, daughter Calla, and pets that meow, bark, slither, and cluck. During my free time, I like reading, listening to music, learning to play guitar, and planning travel and adventures.
