I am an environmental strategist and energy expert supporting municipalities and companies in finding and implementing climate-smart solutions in energy, transport and strategic planning. Currently employed as project manager at Lapplands Kommunalförbund, I am responsible for developing - together with our international partners - a new computer-based simulation model for carbon footprint calculation and scenario modeling for communities in the Baltic Sea area.Some of my key successes include- I supported 40 small- and medium sized tourism companies in achieving CO2 savings of up to 50%- As part of an EU project, I advised ten municipalities in Latvia and Sweden on how to develop and implement their energy and climate strategies, based on a comprehensive energy inventory for the municipalities- I convinced politicians and specialist departments in the municipality of Jokkmokk to realize a comprehensive Energy Performance Contracting project. The savings are today about 30%- I was awarded as ”Energy Consultant of the Year" in Sweden (2017)I have been working in Germany, Austria and Sweden and with many partners in EU projects gathering inspiration for innovative sustainability concepts. I am just as familiar with application for EU project funding as with the successful implementation of projects. My expertise extends to budget management, stakeholder management and finance management.When I’m not managing projects, I enjoy long-distance hiking - my so far longest hike being the Pacific Crest Trail from Canada to Mexico (4300 km).
