About Silva Shaleva

Digital designer by day, setting up a magazine by night. I do UI and branding, and as every other designer on the planet, I love typography. I don’t like the attitude of taking things seriously - I think it kills the mood and adds (mostly) unnecessary pressure to something which can be fun instead. I believe that fun and ease are what allow the human brain to think of new things and therefore explore more creative and unexpected outcomes - aka state of flow or play - so why should we kill it? To obey to a broken system that wants us to perform and produce not for us as a collective, but for a few bunch of people’s personal gain? I’m out of this. I’d rather make something usable and needed for the people. The world is burning anyway, why should we make it worse if we have the knowledge and skills to improve it? As designers this is our mission. It drives me crazy to see the field going to a capitalist direction and nobody taking a position to defend the purpose of design.(I can get political most of the time, sorry not sorry.) Anyway, enjoy the stalking.
