About Silvia Casu

I graduated in Law at Università Statale di Milano, defending a thesis on the matter of Immigration detention troughout the European legal framework. I've always been passionate about global mobility and immigration issues, I've gained experience in this field thanks to curricular and extra-curricular courses and activities, both in Italy and abroad. Because of my interest in International and European Law, I decided to join Ius in itinere, an online law review. I started as contributor for the International law dpt. in 2017 and I am currently Editor-in-chief of the Immigration & Asylum Law dpt. This experience has sparked my interest for immigration and refugee law, which led me to partaking (2019) in a Summer Law School in Human Rights and Migration Law, site in Coimbra (PT). Over the course of the legal studies, I also kept alive my interest for the volunteering sector by founding, in 2014 and 2020, two non-profit cultural associations near Varese aimed at promoting and valorising the local cultural heritage. My passion for volunteering has motivated me to carry out a six months internship at CSV - Insubria as a legal consultant for the Third sector. I'm looking for an opportunity to apply my skills and knowledge in new and challenging ways and I’d love to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to the workplace.
