I am a dedicated and results-driven professional with a robust background in psychology and over 15 years of experience fostering positive change in educational and therapeutic environments. My recent role as a Spanish teacher at 5280 High School in Denver, Colorado, allowed me to specialize in working with students recovering from alcohol and drug abuse, self-harm, eating disorders, and other destructive behaviors. This unique teaching experience underscored my commitment to integrating psychological insights into the classroom, creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes both academic achievement and personal growth.I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, which provided me with a solid foundation in understanding human behavior and mental health. Early in my career, I significantly contributed to a mental health hospital for homeless individuals, offering Crisis Intervention Therapy and counseling to support recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. This experience enriched my ability to provide compassionate counseling and personalized coaching.Transitioning into education, I embraced the role of Spanish teacher, developing innovative Project-Based Learning (PBL) methods and a blended learning curriculum that enhanced student engagement and pass rates.
