About Silvia Yip

Hi there, I’m Silvia! I’m an Implementation Consultant at Benevity, where I help bring our clients’ social missions to life and infuse a culture of goodness into their workplaces and communities. I graduated from McGill University with a major in Information Systems and a minor in East Asian Language and Literature. My time at McGill shaped my passion for business technology, enablement, and data-driven decision-making. Some of the courses that inspired me most were Systems Analysis & Modelling, where I built and validated enterprise data models, and Developing Business Apps, where I designed a centralized IS for study room reservations. Since joining Benevity, I’ve grown from a Technical Solutions Analyst to a GTM Enablement Specialist, gaining experience in sales enablement, client storytelling, technical evaluations, and process optimization. In the GTM Enablement role, I collaborated with Sales and Solution Consulting teams to develop demo environments, refine proposal strategies, and support technical evaluations. I now bring that cross-functional experience into my current role, where I lead client implementations and help clients launch impactful social impact programs. Outside of work, I’m passionate about community-building and volunteerism. I serve as a Board Member-at-Large with the McGill Alumni Association of Calgary, where I help strengthen alumni engagement and organize local events. At Benevity’s HQ, I volunteer as a Goodness Catalyst, coordinating team volunteer initiatives that support local nonprofits. I'm also involved in grassroots political engagement and care deeply about wildlife conservation, supporting Polar Bears International in its efforts to protect polar bears, their Arctic habitat, and our climate. In my free time, I enjoy reading political thrillers, journaling, and exploring Calgary’s restaurants and local gems.
