About Simao Pires

Cooking has always been a passion. After 6+ years of wearing suits, I decided to switch the courtrooms for the kitchen stations. Since then, I've enjoyed the fulfillment to see my abilities and techniques skyrocket to meet the high standards of the industry. Additionally, my work experience has made me become well-versed in food knowledge, preparation and sanitation while adhering to strict policies. As a Lawyer, I was able to hone my communication skills and become a strategic and analytical thinker. My innate curiosity, solution-driven approach, and team player spirit have served me well in every role and responsibility I have taken on, especially while leveraging leadership and management skills. At Chef School, I was an awarded student. Thanks to my hard work, coupled with a lot of effort and dedication, I had an outstanding performance and was granted several scholarships. I can certainly say that my overall experience and background provided me with the perfect combination of hard and soft skills. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce, focused on Culinary Management, I am now eager to explore opportunities across the Food and Beverage industry, exploring and merging my passion for food with operations, social impacts, management, and supply. Away from the kitchen, I go for long walks at the park with my dog and enjoy a nice charcuterie plate with a glass of wine.
