Background

About Simina Ilies

I am a Procurement & Sourcing Consultant with over 15 years of experience advising global organisations across IT, digital, professional services, and direct categories within complex, international environments. My work focuses on cost and value transformation, supporting clients in the design and execution of category strategies spanning technology spend (cloud, SaaS, professional services) as well as direct categories such as packaging, tooling, and materials. I help organisations optimise supplier ecosystems, negotiate enterprise-level agreements, and improve cash flow, resilience, and risk positioning while ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. I bring a consulting mindset to procurement challenges—structuring ambiguous problems, leveraging market intelligence and data-driven analysis, and translating insights into pragmatic, implementable solutions. I am comfortable operating in senior, client-facing environments, acting as a trusted advisor while leading delivery across global, matrix teams. Beyond delivery, I am passionate about capability building and change management, developing teams, embedding best practices, and ensuring that transformation initiatives deliver sustainable impact beyond the project lifecycle. I thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution, combining analytical rigour with a collaborative, results-oriented approach.
