About Simisola Shabi

I am an aspiring global health consultant and incoming MPH student at Emory University, concentrating in Maternal and Child Health. Growing up in Nigeria, I witnessed the devastating impact of limited health education and systemic inequities. Those early experiences shaped my mission: to design culturally grounded, community-driven solutions that bridge gaps in care and empower underserved populations. Currently, I work as a medical assistant at an oncology hospital, where I support patient care while deepening my understanding of complex health systems. My leadership experiences—as Chapter President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Resident Assistant, and Peer Mentor—have taught me how to mobilize teams, advocate for vulnerable populations, and turn ideas into tangible programs. My goal is to launch a global health strategy and consulting firm that partners with governments, NGOs, and local leaders to improve maternal and youth health worldwide.
