Research involved studies on the unique optical properties of different cavity-based plasmonic nanostructures. I have worked on the design and applicability of a cavity-based LSPR sensor for detecting bio/chemical samples and monitoring the physical parameters using the finite element method (FEM). In my present position, my investigation is focused on designing and analysis of plasmonic SERS substrates made of different nano architectures, mainly of noble metals with unique nanogaps for the detection of bio-analytes. In our group, we are also trying to explore the improved absorption by plasmonic structures for proposing multiple band absorbers for sensing applications.
