About Simo Erkinheimo

Behind the Product Manager title there is an enthusiastic R&D cowboy (on and off work) with very high technical competence. I'm especially experienced with C++/C# appdev, MS SQL Server, and ERP integrations/consulting for CAD-design and manufacturing businesses. All of them are still playing a part in my weekly routines, so I might not be the most traditional PM by my responsibility areas. at least for now. I still consider myself being in a transition from Lead Dev to PM, slowly but surely passing ahead the technical responsibility torch and covering more ground at overall management of a software product. But the R&D cowboy will never perish and I'll always be exploring new technologies and ideas; now maybe more with the eyes of business opportunity seeking rather than what is simply cool Recent turn-ons: Azure and other cloud services, Jira/Confluence + automation, Windows subsystem for Linux, WPF, Blazor, making music using Linux in a studio.
