About Simo Wu

Simo Wu is pursuing Master of Management Studies: Foundations of Business at Duke University in the Fuqua School of Business. She looks forward to joining the in-house marketing and communication team of an FMCG or luxury goods company. Working as a Public Relations intern at Ogilvy — an advertising, marketing, and public relations agency— Wu got hands-on-experience in event planning and social media management in the financial sector of public relations. Her experience as a Marketing intern at Johnson & Johnson- Janssen helped her develop consumer-oriented research and data-analysis skills. Wu blends her passion for communications by getting involved in clubs that muse her international student identity. Her involvement in BUTV10 —Boston University’s student-operated media production and distribution network—bilingual news show Amber, alongside her role conducting PR for the BU Chinese Students and Scholars Association, contribute to her goals of building strong marketing and publicity skills. The young communication professional supported Ben & Jerry’s at PRLab, by implementing influencer marketing, highlighting the social mission, and launching various events. She was also part of a 16-hour ProBono project for Chelsea’s Hope Boxer Rescue, where she and her team revamped the website and brand identity of a local animal shelter.
