About Simon Adair

As the Group Director of Health, Safety, Security & Resilience at BBC, I lead the development and implementation of best-in-class capabilities across 100 UK and over 70 international sites. My remit includes risk and crisis management, employee engagement, and cost-effectiveness, particularly during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic. I have a proven track record of delivering strategic leadership and operational excellence in high-risk and hostile environments. Prior to joining BBC, I was the Director of EMEA and APAC at the National Basketball Association (NBA), where I managed the company's global presence and minimized commercial and operational risks. I also have experience in contract service direction at BT, where I contributed to top- and bottom-line growth through operational design and governance. I hold an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Birmingham.
