About Simon Andresen

An experienced Industrial Designer involved in product development consulting since 1997. I draw upon broad experience and creative ‘design thinking’ to develop commercially successful products, packaging and POS solutions individually tailored to suit client’s needs. I have contributed to projects in a wide range of markets including; scientific instruments, medical devices, green technology, sports/ leisure, consumer goods, and structural packaging. Clients have ranged from large multi-nationals to start-ups and sole inventors. I find the most successful (and enjoyable) projects result from the opportunity to collaborate with people that strive to be leaders in their industry, and are enthusiastic about achieving a result that is ‘better than’ rather than ‘equal to’. Several of these projects have received accolades including; Australian Packaging Awards for Plastic packaging & Design innovation, and several Australian International Design Awards -Design Marks & Design Awards. I have a pragmatic, results-driven approach to projects, and a focus on providing highly responsive and personalised service. A broad skill set enables me to work with companies from initial concept sketches, through CAD modelling and product engineering, product communications, to final specification for tooling and production in a wide range of manufacturing processes. I assist clients achieve their commercial & strategic project goals by integrating key requirements from across their business into tangible design solutions.
