About Simon Archambault

Golder Associates (Process engineer) As a member of Golder Associates, I am taking part in several remediation and water treatment design projects. I am managing a small team of technical remediation specialst. My role as a project manager/technical advisor is to manage the project schedule, budget monitoring and provide technical and health & safety support for the project team. I work on project from preliminary design to the commissioning phase. I am also doing a lot of field work and site visits from pilot testing to process start-up and commissioning. Field work and process audit helps me enhance my process design skills by learning from experiences acquired from the field and from process design audit or peer review. L'Oréal Canada (Process engineer and production engineer): As a process engineer I realized two major project management, implementation of a production line and reduction of producyion waste (bulk and components). I manage these projects from preliminary phase to the lauch of the operation. Timeline, budget, security and quality were my main priority. As a production, I had to manage a group of operators and electomechanics. I participated in continous improvement of the production line processes, and I work in multidisciplinary group to improve our quality, production rate and processes in our plant. I have worked on R&D project, on metal surfaces trying to create an oleophobic surfaces to improve our filling and washing processes-M. Sc. A. student in Chemical Engineering : CO2 capture technologie (hydrate, membrane, absorption)-Bsc. in chemical engineering (Ecole Polytechnique, Canada) Expertise - Environment - Mass transfert and energy transfert (separation principles)- Crystallisation (hydrate)- Reaction principles (reaction rate, formation rate, exothermic and endothermic reaction)
