About Simon Bence

I am an I&C Engineer working on nuclear power plant automation systems, currently contributing to the Paks II project at Siemens Energy. My focus is on the Siemens Distributed Control System (DCS), where I work primarily on software configuration, logic development, and system integration tasks. I am continuously expanding my understanding of the full control system, including hardware architecture and signal processing. I’ve been involved in this field for over two years, including a long-term assignment in Erlangen, Germany, and previous internships and dual training periods at Siemens Energy during my BSc and MSc studies. I’ve also supported international projects such as Hinkley Point C, where I participated in cabinet modifications and system adjustments in Rungis, France. While I don’t claim to know everything, I learn quickly and thrive when I receive support and guidance from experienced colleagues. I value teamwork, precision, and continuous improvement. My academic background includes a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Automation specialization) and an MSc in Energy Engineering (Nuclear specialization). I’m always open to connecting with professionals in the energy and automation sectors to exchange ideas and foster long-term collaboration.
