Project development and banking lawyer with 10+years of experience in nuclear new-build, M&A, private equity, capital markets transactions, derivatives, leveraged loans, restructuring, project development and finance as well as regulatory aspects thereof. Major roles included: 1) Advising various banks on a wide range of matters including acting as an executive board member of an affiliate, advising on platform/software services, advising on M&A, derivatives, securitisation, high-yield loans/bonds, DCM and regulatory matters of the foregoing, as well as legal and regulatory aspects of online financial transactions, drafting and filing regulatory notices and negotiating with regulators including the ECB and NBB. 2) Advising various Japanese financing parties (ECAs included), commercial banks or sponsors with respect to projects, including the Wylfa and Moorside nuclear new-build projects in the UK, the Sinop nuclear new-build project in Turkey, and a number of LNG projects such as Yamal LNG, Gorgon LNG, Ichthys LNG and Yemen LNG. 3) Advising on acquisition, project finance and development in the renewables space - the Westermost Rough offshore project in the UK and the Gulf of Suez project in Egypt. 4) Advising on leveraged loans, restructuring, acquisition, divestment and M&A in the oil and gas industry (Ineos and Premier Oil deals) and the financial services industry. 5) Advising on securitisation (CLOs, CMBS and RMBS) transactions and warehouse deals, as well as synthetic deals. 6) Insolvency and administration - elected as a representative of the creditors and a member of the Creditors' Committee of Lehman Brothers International Europe Limited (in administration).
