About Simon Bramble
I am an expert in analogue electronics: power supply design, automotive battery management systems (BMS), low power design, LED lighting, control theory, operational amplifiers and signal chain, filters, data converters and PCB board layout. I have written 30 technical articles (see Publications below) which have been published in every country in the world. These articles include subjects such as control theory, advanced op amp theory, RF, power supply design, data acquisition, computer simulation and microcontrollers. I am also referenced several times on Wikipedia and have several presentations on YouTube My article on analogue filter design is mentioned in "Maximum Impact", a book on the history of Maxim and was one of Maxim's most downloaded articles. I was Maxim's most prolific generator of articles and design ideas and I wrote the first Maxim technical article to appear in China. I also write code. I have written many programs in C and Assembly Code and I am familiar with PICs, AVRs and ARM Cortex microcontrollers. I have worked on electronic designs (both analogue and software) for consumer, military, industrial, medical and automotive including everything from missiles and fighter jets to road vehicles and Formula 1. I am an occasional guest lecturer at Brunel University and have also presented to large audiences in several different countries on LTspice, power supply design techniques and analogue circuit design. I also run the top website for learning LTspice. It also includes articles on advanced op amp theory, power supply design, active filter design, nodal analysis of op amps, op amp noise and digital power. I now work with leading automotive OEMs and Tier 1s designing the world's finest cars.
