Simon Elias Chabab is an aspiring Mechatronical Engineering student at the University of Agder, with a keen interest in robotics, industrial cybernetics, renewable energy, control systems and software development. With an educational background that integrates mechanical engineering, analog and digital electronics, and control technology in the design and development of products and processes, Simon is passionate about contributing his knowledge to relevant roles within these fields. His specialization in applied machine learning and robotics, particularly through an exchange semester in Austria focused on robotics and programming, has equipped him with practical skills in building and programming automated solutions like a gantry robot for factory packing processes. Simon's work experience is diverse, ranging from technical internships to customer service roles, demonstrating his adaptability and eagerness to learn. His summer internship at NOV Process & Flow Technologies AS involved working alongside fellow engineering students, focusing on software development, robotic engineering, 3D modeling, mathematical calculations, and electronic circuits. This experience reflects his technical capabilities and his ability to collaborate effectively in team settings. Beyond technical skills, Simon has shown leadership and initiative through his role as the leader of business management in the student union for mechatronics students at the University of Agder. This role involved liaising with companies for potential collaborations, maintaining relationships with sponsors, and acting as a spokesperson for mechatronics students, showcasing his strong communication and organizational skills.
