With a strong background in waste management and recycling operations, I have developed a comprehensive skill set in contract management, program development, and customer service. My career spans roles with both the Region of Peel and the City of Toronto, where I have successfully managed and coordinated a range of waste diversion initiatives, including the recycling of various commodities and the development of pilot programs aimed at increasing recycling rates. In my current role as a Specialist in CRC Programs and Contracts, I work closely with vendors and internal teams to review contracts, develop business proposals, and ensure operational efficiency. I am responsible for conducting audits, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and performing market research to introduce new recycling initiatives. My efforts have led to the implementation of successful recycling pilots, contributing to increased waste diversion rates and reduced operational costs. I also have experience in operational coordination, having supported the development of safety protocols, training programs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor and improve CRC operations. Working with the Region of Peel, I contributed to the successful launch of the CRC Bicycle Recycling Program and added key performance metrics to monthly reports, improving the oversight of waste diversion efforts.
