About Simon Clarke

I am current third year electrical engineering student, at Queens University. Studies have focused on engineering design, mathematics, energy and electrical systems. Some course courses I have completed include Engineering Design & Practice I and II, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Digital Systems, Electrical Circuits, and Information Structures. I love to be involved. In high school I was student council co-president, a founding member of the school climate action committee, I played varsity basketball, badminton, volleyball and was captain of the varsity soccer team. In university I have been involved in intramural basketball, soccer and badminton. I also been involved in various events in university like the Engineering Societies bi-annual Fix & Clean event. My many year participating in sport inspired to become a coach, I have been coaching youth basketball and soccer and hope to continue giving back to the sports I grew up playing. I love being out in the community and interacting with people. Growing up in a small tourist town much of my work experience was in the services industry. Through golf course greeting, and being a tour guide, I gained many skill including professionalism, public speaking, and many other communication skills. My work with Fisheries and Oceans Canada as an Aquatic Science Technician, gave me practical experience with the scientific method, and exposed me to the field work and lab work required for scientific research. In my university studies I have undertaken a number of design tasks. One design problem, given by the Canadian Space Agency, was to design the thermal system for a lunar rover. With limited resources, my group of six people, was able to design a system that showed promise in both the rudimentary prototyping and mathematical modelling. Email Phone 506 898 3300
