About Simon Coleman

Simon is an Qualified Person at Almac Clinical Services. Responsibilities include Quality Assurance and regulatory compliance ensuring Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) are manufactured and certified in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Simon has experience in project leadership with within the pharmaceutical sector, overseeing the production, certification and distribution of IMPs as well as the management of academic and academic - industrial partnership R&D projects. Simon received his B.Sc. in Analytical Science in 2006 and PhD physical chemistry in 2010 from Dublin City University. During Simon's postdoctoral research at Dublin City University from 2010 to 2016, projects included the development of integrated polymer gel electrodes based upon ionic liquids in collaboration with Adidas Wearable Electronics, development of non-invasive lithium detection within bipolar patients in collaboration with the University of Pisa and Santa Chiara hospital, Pisa and autonomous, low cost sensors for the monitoring of water quality with TE Labs, Marie curie institute, Paris and a Pan-European University consortium.
