About Simon Danks

I am a versatile, skilled toolmaker. I have over 30 years experience in engineering and manufacturing and work with proven attention to detail. You will find me to be trustworthy, honest and reliable. I am an easygoing person who works well within a team and is able to manage others well. I have vast experience in manufacturing and the design of components, within aerospace and machine tool industry. I have experience of working within an AS 9100 Rev C quality management system. You will also find me to have valuable experience with an array of machines, from milling to turning machines. Further to this I have the skills to write and prove programs, in software such as FEATURECAM and experience of FANUC and CT operating systems. I am currently helping to plan and manage the work going through the busy workshop also Training and mentoring 2 apprentices. Training certification for OneCnc CADCAM Training certification for XYZ PROGRAMING Responsibilities of the job include: Planning and organising production schedules Process Improvement Assessing project and resource requirements Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met Overseeing production processes Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary Selecting, ordering and purchasing materials Organising the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment Liaising with buyers. Responsible for production and despatch. A mantra I live by, is to learn from every experience, because there is always room to improve; both personally and professionally.
