About Simon Davies

Simon has spent 20 years in corporate finance including senior roles within Ernst & Young, PwC, Bank of Scotland and Grant Thornton. He set up a corporate finance boutique, DHD, in 1997 which he subsequently sold to Tenon plc. Latterly Regional Head of Corporate Finance at Grant Thornton, Simon has recently established another corporate finance boutique in Reading, Spectrum Corporate Finance, with three other experienced advisors. Simon has led many of the region's significant transactions over the past few years including more recently, Red Funnel Group (£205m), Point Source sale to Qioptiq, Snell & Wilcox (£72m), Mettoni (£15m), Amtech (£35m) and HobbyCraft (£100m+). Simon aims to build Spectrum CF into the region's pre-eminent advisory firm specialising in mid-market transactions, whether on the buy or sell side, private equity, corporate or family owned. Spectrum is a member firm of AICA (see an international network of independent corporate finance boutiques. Simon sits on the board of AICA and Spectrum fully participates in cross-border M&A in support of this network.
