Co-founder and Publishing Director of Somekind Press – an independent and community-focused micropublisher. Responsible for developing and overseeing the Takeaway series of food and drink titles, which has raised in excess of $500k for independent businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown in Australia, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Freelance editor, editorial consultant and ghostwriter with over 13 years' experience working on quality high-end and mass market food and lifestyle books for a wide range of international book publishers. Experienced in working with and supporting high-profile authors in all aspects of the publishing process from the generating of full manuscript to the writing of supplementary copy and provision of general writing assistance. Recent celebrated books worked on include: Josh Niland's The Whole Fish Cookbook (winner of the James Beard Food Book of The Year, André Simon Food Book award, ABIA Illustrated Book of the Year, shortlisted for The Art of Eating Prize and translated into 11 languages), Greg & Lucy Malouf's Suqar (James Beard award winner), Hetty McKinnon's Family (ABIA Illustrated Book of The Year) & Peter Gilmore's From the Earth (James Beard shortlisted).
