I am a communications specialist with extensive multiskilled experience in media relations, external and internal communications and publications. I have worked across local, state and federal government departments, and also in strategic communications roles in the film and hospitality sectors. I built a comprehensive knowledge of mainstream and niche media over a seven-year journalism career. In particular I cultivated an expert knowledge of the full publishing process, including: strategic and editorial planning; overseeing layout, writing and editing; coordinating design, printing and distribution; and managing key relationships with suppliers and service providers. For nine years I was the Australian-based acquisitions executive for international sales agent and production company XYZ Films. In this role I handled film acquisitions; managed project development for the company's Australian & New Zealand slate; and led the company's exploration of business and government partnerships in the region.
