I am a dynamic, self-motivated professional, with 24 years’ experience delivering leadership, change management and customer service within the small product warehouse and integrated distribution sector. As Operations Manager for Dixons Carphone, I enabled up to 200 personnel to exceed KPIs and realise year on year reductions in expenditure. As Shift Manager for KNOWHOW / Dixons Carphone (online operations), I facilitated the delivery of all small box online orders within a growth environment receiving a Chief Executive Award. I also supported and implemented same day delivery services and activated software gift card (POSA) options for online customers; redesigning hardware support and packing bench layout to enable the department to meet KPIs. As Warehouse Manager at the Barcode Warehouse, I have helped streamline all core warehouse operations, redesigned the layout to optimise workflow, helped design, test and implement a new WMS & UI to further increase productivity and reduce stock exposure. An inspirational leader and HR specialist, I hold responsibility for first line managers and co- managed long term absence and disciplinary issues; bringing cohesion to disparate teams and enthusing and engaging colleagues through regular one-to-one meetings and the setting and review of objectives. I also create Black Friday and Cyber Monday survival plans to maintain staff morale, and have personally enabled temporary personnel to become permanent and skilled employees and managers to become highly successful operations managers.
